Softball Sweeps Everett With Ease

Bellevue vs. SWOCC

Bellevue College softball finished up their marathon week with a convincing sweep at Everett yesterday winning 12-0 and 10-1. Both games ended early due to the run-rule. Tatum Dow drove in the first run of the game in the first as BC put up seven runs for an early 7-0 lead. Dow’s single drove in Angel Prewitt and Meg Marino before Tori McDowell blasted a two-run shot to put the ‘dogs up 5-0. Dow would later homer; a grand slam in the third for BC’s final runs. For the game, Dow was 2-for-3 with six RBI’s.

In game two, Dow wasted no time continuing her hot hitting with another homer; this one a two-run shot. The Bulldogs had their second grand slam home run of the day by Maddie Trout in the third, putting Bellevue up 8-1. Carissa McDowell ran her record to 4-0 going the distance in the circle.

The wins ended a tough six-game stretch against North Region foes. Bellevue is now 10-2 in league and 21-4 overall. The Bulldogs host Highline this Wednesday April 3 at 3:00 p.m.
