Softball Sweeps Everett

Bellevue College softball continued their winning ways with an easy 10-2 and 17-8 sweep over visiting Everett yesterday afternoon in North Region league play. Both games ended early due to the run-limit rule. In the opener, Megan Paoli led the Bulldogs with 4 RBI’s going 3-for-4 with a triple. In the first inning, the ‘dogs were given help towards a quick 4-0 lead after Paoli drove in the first run with a single. Everett’s pitching staff would then issue three consecutive walks and four total in the inning to give BC the momentum. Another Paoli single in the second along with a 2-RBI hit by Meg Marino gave BC an 8-1 lead. Rhaney Harris ran her record to 17-1 with the complete game win.

In game two, freshman Katie Noble was a perfect 4-for-4, with 4 runs, and 4 RBI’s to lead the Bulldogs. Tatum Down and Marino both had 2 RBI’s singles in a 6-run first for BC. The squad would plate another 11 runs over the next three innings for the blowout. Marino continued her hot hitting from game one with another 4 RBI’s in the game.

The Bulldogs are now 36-5 (25-3 in league) and will play this Saturday May 4 at Highline. Time of the game is still to be determined.
