Men’s Tennis Tops Skagit Valley

Bellevue College men’s tennis defeated Skagit Valley yesterday in Mount Vernon 9-0. Unfortunately, only two Bulldogs saw action as Skagit Valley had only two players on the entire team who could play. Seven of the matches were won by default as the Cardinals had nobody for BC to play. Oscar Cruz and Yev Kolomiyets were the fortunate ones who got to see action as #1 and 2 singles. They both won in straight sets without giving up a game, winning 6-0, 6-0. They then teamed up to take #1 doubles 8-0.

The Bulldogs captured the regular season league title with a 6-0 (9-5 overall) record and now await the NWAC Championships which begin May 10 in Spokane.
