Women’s Golf Debuts 2019 Season in Tacoma

Bellevue College women’s golf made their 2019 fall season debut this weekend facing tough competition in the Pacific Lutheran University Invitational held at Lake Spanaway GC. The Bulldogs faced several four-year teams in the region in addition to Spokane of the NWAC. Bellevue finished second to the Sasquatch in the two-year college standings.

Freshman Mckenna Lamb led BC shooting 84-78 over the two days. The 78 she recorded today was especially impressive as Sunday’s rounds were played in a steady downpour all day. Lamb finished fourth overall in the 38 player field and nudged out Spokane’s Emma Torres by a stroke for NWAC medalist honors.

Hunter Humbert (83-100), Melena Hickok (96-98), and Ashlyn Hohn (109-100) rounded out Bellevue’s scoring.

The Bulldogs will battle several NWAC teams at the Highline Invitational next week September 30-October 1 at Suncadia GC in Roslyn.
