Chase Fisk BC golf

Bellevue College men’s golf made a statement that they are contenders for the NWAC title this upcoming spring after controlling round two and taking the Highline Invitational yesterday at Suncadia GC. The Bulldogs were in a tie for first at 309 after day one then took control by shooting 297 on day two. The field best score was highlighted by consistent play down the entire lineup as Chase Fisk led BC carding an impressive 1-over par 73 in the final round. Fisk’s closing holes were a key factor for the team win as he went 2-under for the final 6 holes. Ian MacKay was solid going out with a 1-over par and came home with a 2-over for a 3-over 75. Freshman Tyler Spalti continued his solid play as the squad’s lone freshman finishing tied for second overall in the individual standings with an 8-over two-day total of 152. Scott Rohlinger shot 77-78 to round out BC’s team scoring finishers.

The Bulldogs will step it up in competition next week at the Concordia Invitational at the challenging Columbia Edgewater Country Club next Monday and Tuesday October 7-8.
