Women’s Soccer Tops Pierce

BC women's soccer 2019

Bellevue College women’s soccer cruised to a 5-0 win versus Pierce today at Heritage Rec Center in Puyallup. In a game that appeared to be close at halftime as the score was knotted 0-0, the Bulldogs just had no luck finding the back of the goal with their six shots on goal. In the second half, the fatigue by Pierce was obvious as BC dominated with 15 shots on goal compared to zero by Pierce. As the Raiders’ defense was worn down, Bellevue started a scoring spree. At the 59:56 mark, Fatumatah Dukureh scored off a Malia Miller assist. Kylie Woodrum added a goal 25:00 into the second half before the fatigue was obvious as BC netted three goals in the final ten minutes of the game as Lauren Landis had two goals while Cailen Fodness added the fifth and final goal with a minute left in the game.

Bellevue is now 9-1 in West Region play (11-2 overall) and is riding an 8-game win streak into this Saturday’s showdown with first place Highline College at 12:00 p.m.
