Men’s Soccer Tops Highline

BC men's soccer

Bellevue College men’s soccer scored a historic win as the team continues their journey back to the elite amongst the NWAC by defeating powerhouse Highline yesterday 2-1. It was Bellevue’s first win over Highline in years as Bulldog goalkeeper Tanner Guirsch was the highlight for BC with several key stops. As Highline’s offense had several opportunities to push past Bellevue, Guirsch recorded 7 saves as the T-Birds pounded 8 shots on goal throughout the game. Guirsch’s tenacity allowed BC’s two early first half goals (Masahiko Kaneko at 3:24, Giovani Perez at 21:15) to be enough for the win.

Bellevue’s landmark win puts them at 3-5-2 in West Region play (4-7-3 overall). They travel to Tacoma this Wednesday October 23 to battle the first place Titans at 4:15 p.m.
