Men’s Soccer Downed By Tacoma

BC men's soccer

Bellevue College men’s soccer, fresh off a win against a perennial powerhouse club in Highline, could not sustain their magic yesterday in a 5-1 loss at Tacoma. The Bulldogs could not keep up with the top-ranked Titans, who are now 13-0-1 on the year and have given up only 4 goals all year while scoring 40.

In the early moments, even against a very tough Tacoma defense, BC stayed with the Titans at 1-1 as Kosuke Tsuji scored at the 17:00 mark. Tacoma would then score the very next minute then added another quick goal at the 22:00 mark and were back up 3-1. The second half was an evenly-played battle as the teams went scoreless through much of the half until two late goals in the final five minutes by Tacoma’s Angel Trejo-Delgado put the game out of reach for the Bulldogs.

Bellevue is now 3-6-2 (4-8-3 overall) and will have their final home game of the year next Wednesday October 30 against South Puget Sound at 4:00 p.m.
