Volleyball Takes Down Olympic

BC Volleyball

Coming off two losses, Bellevue College Volleyball appeared to be on the verge of a third straight after surrendering a first set loss to Olympic before turning the act around in a convincing 3-1 (14-25, 25-14, 25-16, 25-15) win last night at Courter Family Athletic Pavilion.

6 errors in set one doomed Bellevue as the Bulldogs lost control at 3-3 by giving up 5 straight points. The 8-3 deficit would never be recovered as the Rangers went on to cruise to a 25-14 win. In set two, BC flipped the momentum for the rest of the contest with cleaner play as Olympic gave opportunities with errors coupled with efficient swings by Zaiah Luna-Calvin. The Bulldogs went on to take the next three sets with ease; all in similar fashion.

Luna-Calvin led Bellevue with 16 kills and 7 digs. Dyamonde Schirmer and Kyla Bonsen each had 13 assists.

Bellevue (7-3, 23-10) faces first-place Whatcom on the road tomorrow night, Friday November 1 for a 7:00 p.m. first serve.
