Volleyball Sweeps Everett; On To NWAC Championships

In a relatively clean match for Bellevue, the BC Bulldogs won in straight sets over visiting Everett 25-17, 25-16, 25-15 tonight at Courter Family Athletic Pavilion. The Bulldogs committed only 11 errors in the three sets with a hit percentage of .299; well over Everett’s .033 for the match.

Zaiah Luna-Calvin had 13 kills in 17 attempts while Yaneli Garcia had 8 kills and only 1 error. On the defensive front Lilandra Dexter had 10 digs while Kelsie Otter added 9.

Bellevue raced out in front in all three sets and had 10-point leads near the 20-point mark in all three as the ‘dogs closed out set three with a service ace from Garcia.

Bellevue ends league play in third place in the North Region with an 8-4 record (24-11 overall). The Bulldogs are expected to take on Rogue, an expansion team in the NWAC, who are the South #2 seed in the opening round of the upcoming NWAC Championships.
