Green River Tops Men’s Basketball

Bellevue College men’s basketball fell victim to an offensive Green River squad in a 96-76 loss last night in Auburn. The Gators shot 51% from the floor and threw up nearly 30 three-pointers last night, sinking 9 of them. Down by only 7 at halftime at 41-34, BC could not stop the offense of Green River as the Gators reeled off 55 points in the second half to prevent any type of Bellevue comeback.

Trevon Richmond continued his impressive freshman play with his second impressive outing in as many games in his career with 28 points and 8 rebounds. He was 50% from the field, was 6-for-7 from the free throw line and committed only 1 foul and didn’t have a turnover in the entire 34 minutes of his playing time. Fellow freshman big man Marshall Clark complemented Richmond’s efforts with a 20 point and 8 rebound night. His deft touch was evident by his 8-for-14 shooting for the night.

Bellevue (0-2) brings in several teams this weekend including Chemeketa (OR), Walla Walla, and Highline for the annual Bulldog Classic. Bellevue entertains Chemeketa on Friday November 22 at 7:00.
