Bellevue College women’s basketball used their depth to show anyone on this year’s Bulldog squad can contribute in a 92-44 win last night at Courter Family Athletic Pavilion. The Bulldogs led 32-8 after one quarter before a slowdown on both sides in the second quarter prevented the blowout from escalating. Heading into the locker room with a 44-12 lead, Bellevue spread the minutes out as several players showed efficiency on both sides of the court.

All 15 Bulldogs played as Amanda Luckett continued her sophomore leadership with a game-high 12 rebounds and 17 points on 8-for-13 shooting. Addy Clabby was red hot from the field going 7-for-8 and dishing out 5 assists in a 16-point effort while Rokki Brown chipped in 9 points but also was a key figure in other ways with 5 assists as well and had 3 steals on the defensive end.

Coming off the bench, freshman Kate Rutledge had her long range touch going with 13 points and was 3-for-4 from three-point range. She had 6 rebounds as well as did Kylan Hernandez. Makenna Faulkner added 11 on 5-for-8 shooting.

Bellevue at one point led by 62 points at 86-24 early in the fourth quarter after a five-point run by Clabby. Six turnovers by BC in the final minutes allowed Green River to cut the deficit down by 16 points to close out the game.

Bellevue is now 3-0 on the year and entertains Yakima Valley this Saturday at 4:00 p.m. The single game is a revision of what was originally scheduled as a four-team tourney after two teams were forced to drop out due to unspecified reasons.
