Although up by six at halftime, the Bellevue College men’s basketball team were outscored 42-28 in the second half in a tough 68-60 loss tonight at Courter Family Athletic Pavilion. Newcomer Jalen Womack was perfect 3-for-3 from the field in his college debut in the first half.

In the second half, everything flipped as the ‘dogs were 2-for-11 from three-point range in the second half and were outrebounded 22-11. The Bulldogs held the lead, which was by as much as 10 points in the second half, for most of the game until the 6:32 mark where South was able to tie the game on a three-pointer by Ben Janssan.

Down 63-60 with just over 1:30 to go in the game after a pair of free throws by Trevon Richmond, BC had chances but could not get a bucket to fall in their three attempts downcourt with the clock winding down.

Bellevue is 1-12 and has their final pre-season game this Saturday January 4 at 4:00 in Centralia.
