Women’s Basketball Cruises Past Shoreline On Road

Bellevue College women’s basketball recovered from the snow break in strong fashion with a convincing 68-44 win today at Shoreline. The Bulldogs clamped down on defense from the beginning, holding a commanding 31-19 lead at halftime. Amanda Lucket got things going for BC in the first quarter with 6 points and 4 rebounds. Luckett scored down under to put Bellevue up 9-4 before Rokki Brown drilled a three-pointer to give Bellevue a commanding 12-4 lead that set the tone for the remainder of the game.

The Dolphins would get the deficit trimmed to eight at 35-27 midway through the third quarter before Bellevue extended the lead back and stretched it to a 26-point lead early in the fourth. Luckett ended the game with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore Natalie Amos had 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 steals.

Bellevue is now 2-1 in league (9-4 overall) and host Edmonds this Wednesday January 22 at 5:00 p.m.
