Men’s Tennis Splits Over Weekend

The Bellevue College men’s tennis team opened up NWAC play under new Head Coach Jennifer Weller in winning fashion, defeating Spokane on Saturday March 7 10-0. No individual match details were reported.

On the following day, Bellevue traveled over the lake to take on NCAA Division I Seattle University. The Bulldogs fell 7-0. Bellevue’s Stefano Wirawan, playing as #1 seed, gave SU the toughest match, losing 6-2, 7-5 to Tristan Nield. Wirawan and teammate Nick Berni also challenged well at #1 singles, falling 7-5 to Nield and Alex Chan.

The Bulldogs’ next match is March 22 as they host Treasure Valley at 9:00 a.m.
