Anita Behrbaum

Anita Behrbaum was a two-time NWAACC Heptathlon champion, setting the conference mark in points scored, a record that stood for more than 20 years. She won both hurdle events during the 1984 conference meet while setting a NWAACC record in the 400m hurdles and was runner-up in the 100 meters.

She was also a member of the 1983 women’s volleyball team. She went on to compete at Seattle Pacific University. In her junior year she finished third in the NCAA Division II heptathlon and as a senior in 1987, she was the NCAA Division II heptathlon champion.

In 1988, she placed fifth at the U.S. Olympic Heptathlon trials with 6037 points. She is a member of the Seattle Pacific University and NWAC Hall of Fame.
