Orly Waller was a cross country and track athlete in 1979-81. He was a two-time cross country individual champion in 1979 and 1980, one of only four men to win back-to-back titles. He led his Bellevue teams to conference crowns during those two seasons.

He helped the Helmsmen track team to runner-up finishes at the conference championships in 1980 and 1981. His 30:30.91 time in the 10,000 meter run in 1981 is still an NWAACC record.

After Bellevue Orly went on to compete at the University of Colorado and is part of their Alumni C-Club, winning varsity letters in cross country and track in 1982, ’83 and ’84. He is also a member of the NWAC Hall of Fame.
