Softball Splits Pair With Everett

Bellevue softball split a doubleheader on Friday May 28 at Everett, falling 6-5 in game one before dominating in the nightcap winning 12-4. In the opener, the Bulldogs rallied after falling behind 6-3 early on. In the fifth, with two outs the ‘dogs rallied with a Kaci Imus triple which scored Elise Allen. An error later on would score Imus, all with two outs. The Bulldogs went down in order the following two innings preventing any further rally. Imus was 2-for-2 with 2 RBI’s and 2 runs scored and pitched a complete game in the circle.

In game two, BC jumped ou 4-0 in the first inning on a Hannah Hvitved double and a Lizzy Olson home run. Kelci Studioso also homered in the second as the scoring spree continued early in the game. In the third Leslie Main’s double scored both Olson and Imus to make it a 7-0 lead. The ‘dogs got more insurance runs in the sixth as both Imus and Nicole Leadley homered. The four home runs were part of a 15-hit spree by the ‘dogs.

The split inches Bellevue closer to Everett at 13-7 behind the Trojans’ 16-4 record. Bellevue hosts Skagit Valley Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
