Softball Swept In Season Finale

Bellevue College softball dropped two games at home in their season finale yesterday, falling 7-4 and 12-11 in extra innings. In game one, Skagit’s bats caught fire after the two teams were gridlocked in a 1-1 tie through three innings. Skagit then plated six runs in the middle innings as it was too much for Bellevue to come back from. Kelci Studioso continued her hot hitting by going 2-for-3.

In game two, Skagit’s bats continued to be hot as they banged out 15 hits. Although Skagit Valley put up 10 runs in the first three innings, Bellevue put up 11 and held an 11-10 lead until the sixth when Skagit tied it up. The Cardinals then got one across in the eighth to win in extra innings. Hannah Hvitved had 2 hits and 2 RBI’s with a triple while Kaci Imus and Elise Allen each scored 3 runs.

Bellevue ends its season in second place in the North Region at 13-9.
