Bulldog Women’s Soccer Go 0-1-1 at NWAC Friendlies

Bellevue College women’s soccer showed they have a young and relatively inexperienced roster this week as the Bulldogs tied Walla Walla 1-1 before falling to Lane 4-0 today.

In Wednesday’s season opener, third-year veteran (one of two on the squad) Alexis Lamb got the season off with a hot start scoring just under halfway through the first half to put Bellevue up 1-0. Walla Walla would answer back before half to tie it at 1-1 and had several chances to take the lead throughout the second half but BC’s Celia LaGuardia was stellar in the box, recording 7 saves preventing the Warriors from anymore offense.

In today’s loss, Bellevue had no momentum from the get go as the defense struggled. Lane scored all four goals in the first 20 minutes of the game as the ‘dogs could not get anything going on the other side of midfield.

Bellevue hosts Portland on Tuesday August 31 at noon.
