In a dead even match on both fronts, Bellevue College women’s soccer scratched out a 1-0 victory yesterday over visiting Portland. Freshman Johanna Harraldsdottir scored the lone goal deep into the first half at the 35:49 mark on an assist by Fatumata Dukureh. Both teams had 11 shots as both team’s defenses were stellar throughout the day. BC goalkeeper Lilja Bjornsson recorded the shutout for the Bulldogs recording a perfect 5 saves on 5 shot on goal attempts by the Panthers.
Bellevue now has an 11-day break before a September 11 matchup to open up West Region play at Centralia.
