Men’s Soccer Ties Edmonds

In a rare battle on the pitch, Bellevue tied Edmonds 1-1 yesterday to open up league play for NWAC soccer. Although Bellevue and Edmonds historically have league rivalry matches in other sports, the two squads play in different regions for soccer until this year making the game a historical one.

The game was not only even on the scoreboard, but was evenly played in nearly every aspect as Bellevue had 6 shots on goal while Edmonds had 5. Although Edmonds took the initial lead at the 30:28 mark, the Bulldogs scored five minutes later on a goal by Marc Kot, assisted by Thomas Nguyen. The game would go into halftime tied at 1-1 and stayed there for the entire second half.

Bellevue is now 1-1-2  and 0-0-1 in league play and host Skagit Valley this Tuesday September 14 at 4:15 p.m.
