Pierce Tops Bellevue Women’s Soccer

Bellevue College women’s soccer was stunned in the final minutes, losing 3-2 to host Pierce as the Raiders netted two goals in the final 10 minutes of play to score a come-from-behind win.

After Pierce got on the board early with a goal in the opening minutes, BC’s Alexis Lamb answered up with a goal 12 minutes into the game on an assist by Fatumata Dukureh.

After 30 minutes of scoreless play in the second half, Maddie Drye found Dukureh for BC’s second goal with a little over 15 minutes left. With BC up 2-1, the win seemed almost a done deal before Pierce’s late surge in the final minutes.

Bellevue falls to 2-1-1 in league play and 3-4-2 overall. The Bulldogs travel to their nemesis, Highline College this Saturday for a 12:00 p.m. kickoff.
