Volleyball Falls in Four

Bellevue College volleyball lost on the road 3-1 to Edmonds last night in a battle of the expected contenders in the North Region. After winning the first set 25-18 in commanding fashion, Edmonds rallied for a 26-24 win in a back-and-forth battle during the entire set. The competitiveness and see saw leads continued in set three as well, with Edmonds coming out on top 25-23.

After coming up on the short side in those two hotly-contested sets, the Bulldogs flattened in set four, with Edmonds winning 25-19.

Technical difficulties with Edmonds statisticians did not allow any individual stats last night. Bellevue is now 1-1 in league play and 11-6 overall. The ‘dogs face another tough battle this Friday as they host Skagit Valley, a team on the rise. A team that has struggled in years past, the Cardinals are 2-1 in league and 13-1 overall and are having their best season in decades as they come to Courter Family Athletic Pavilion for what is anticipated to be another North Region showdown tomorrow night. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
