Volleyball Sweeps Olympic On Road

Bellevue College volleyball did quick work tonight, taking three sets in a row in a convincing road win at Olympic, winning 25-12, 25-15, 25-8. Bellevue hit at a .390 percentage and committed only seven errors. BC’s serves were on as well as the ‘dogs recorded 10 service aces led by the four served up by Malia Honrud, who also had nine assists and six digs.

After convincing wins in sets one and two, Bellevue put the domination on full throttle as the ‘dogs went on an 11-0 run to go from 1-1 to 12-1 in set three. Five errors by Olympic coupled with twin kills by Arianna Bilby and Meg Perry put BC in cruise control.

Bilby was firing on all cylinders with her swings tonight as she had 11 kills and hit at a .529 clip. Perry was six for 12 with zero errors for a .500 percentage as well.

Bellevue is 3-1 in league and 13-6 overall. The Bulldogs have another showdown match this Friday as first place Whatcom comes to town for a 7:00 p.m. first serve.
