Women’s Soccer Steamrolls Over Chokers

Bellevue College women’s soccer dominated offensively and cruised to a 6-0 win today over host Grays Harbor College in Aberdeen today. The Bulldogs scored all 6 goals in the first half while keeper Celia LaGuardia, who did get action in the box even though BC controlled the ball much of the match, was a perfect 3-for-3 in saves.

Bellevue got 12 shots on goal as freshman Johanna Haraldsdotti scored three goals in the first fifteen minutes of action, scoring at the 3:45, 8:45 and 13:24 marks. Brianna Hugus scored a pair of goals while Carmyn Yoshitomi netted one as well in the first half.  Alexis Lamb and Carolina Archila nearly missed on their attempts which could have easily made the score 8-0. The win puts BC at 3-2-1 in West Region play and 4-5-1 overall. The Bulldogs will take on Pierce at home this Saturday October 9 in what many will consider a revenge match, after the Raiders went on a scoring rampage in the closing minutes to take the lead and steal the win over BC earlier this fall.
