Bellevue College made a strong comeback bid on day two of the Spokane League Match but fell short by eight strokes in a runner up finish at the Spokane League Match held at Indian Canyon GC in Spokane. The Bulldogs made up some ground on day two, Tuesday October 12 by shooting the low team score for the day at +31, one stroke better than tournament winner Spokane. However the day two rounds were not enough to make up their rough day one start in which the Bulldogs put themselves nine strokes back out of the gate.

Sarah Lawrence earned medalist honors with an 80-78 to win the individual title by six strokes. Lawrence made the turn with a 38 but then faltered with a three hole stretch going four over par on the back nine. She rebounded nicely and finished the final five holes at one over to claim the win.

Tia Wolcott finished tied for ninth overall with identical rounds of 86-86 while Tori Berger rounded out BC’s scoring with a 93-80.

The Bulldogs will travel to Yakima next week for the NWAC Invitational at AppleTree GC.
