Sze’s 40 Points Lead Dogs Over Walla Walla

Maui Sze had everything going tonight as the sophomore local sensation drained 14-of-20 from the field including 5-for-11 from three-point range to score 40 points in a 107-77 win on Walla Walla’s home floor tonight. Sze was also a perfect 7-for-7 from the line as he led Bellevue to a commanding 55-35 first half lead. His three-pointer 10 seconds into the game set the tone as BC drained four straight three-pointers in a one minute span to stretch an 11-7 lead into a commanding 23-7 margin as the ‘dogs never looked back.

Walla Walla managed to get the lead cut to 12 at 57-45 in the second half but Bellevue’s hot shooting just kept going by adding seven more points to make it 64-45 in the blowout win.

Sze wasn’t the only one on fire as the hot shooting was contagious. Ben Oleson was 6-for-7 and had 16 points while Aydan Janssan was 5-for-7 for 13 points. Collectively, Oleson and Janssan hit 7-of-8 three-pointers. Daniel Thomas, in only 14 minutes of time off the bench, was even more perfect going 3-for-3 from both the field and the free throw line for 10 points.

The Bulldogs return home from the Walla Walla Tourney with a perfect 2-0 record and are now 4-1 overall. They travel to Centralia this Tuesday December 7 for a 7:00 p.m. tipoff.
