Women’s Golf Takes SW Oregon Invitational

Bellevue College women’s golf took the SW Oregon Invitational by storm on Monday at Bandon Crossings GC, winning by a whopping 15 strokes over runner-up, host SW Oregon. Sarah Lawrence was medalist for the third consecutive tourney for the Bulldogs, scorching the field with rounds of 74 and 71 on day two. The closest competitor was 14 strokes behind as she led the ‘dogs to the win in a shortened field of only four teams.

Lawrence birdied holes 15 and 17 down the stretch to close with a 2-under par 34 en route to her landslide victory.

Tia Wolcott rebounded on day two with a strong showing carding an 83 to finish in fifth overall. Tori Berger rounded out Bellevue’s team scoring with rounds of 80-91 to finish sixth.

Bellevue, the regular season league champions, have won four match win streak going as the are the favorites at the NWAC Championships on May 22-23 at Apple Tree GC in Yakima.
