Tia Wolcott went low on both days of the Highline Shootout, with rounds of 76-75 to cruise to medalist honors while leading the Bellevue College women’s golf team to a blowout 27-stroke win.
Sarah Lawrence shot 78-80 to finish second while Mayah Park, Bellevue’s lone newcomer, made the biggest strides on the team shooting 84-88 to finish ninth overall.
Wolcott birdied the first three holes of her round to set the tone and never looked back. Although she closed four over in her last five holes, she had distanced herself over her teammate Lawrence with enough room to spare.
Bellevue travels to the Tri-Cities next week to participate in the Columbia Basin Fall Invitational October 9-10.
