Columbia Basin Tops Bellevue Men

Bishop Tosi

Bellevue College men’s basketball fell 74-68 last night to Columbia Basin in a neutral site game in Walla Walla. Bellevue chipped away in the second half after falling behind 36-30 in the first half and got to within one point at 56-55 with 4:55 remaining on a pair of Bishop Tosi free throws but could get no closer.

The Hawks answered with free throws of their own to keep BC at a distance for the remainder of the game and pulled away late, stretching the lead to 11 with just over a minute to go for the win.

Tosi was a perfect seven-for-seven from the line and had 23 points for the Bulldogs. He led the team on the defensive end as well with nine rebounds and three blocked shots; both team-highs.

Bellevue plays host Walla Walla tonight at 6:00 p.m.
