Women’s Basketball Falls Late In Fourth

McKayla Rodriguez

Bellevue College women’s basketball battled Lower Columbia through three quarters but fell 78-62. The Bulldogs, who tied the game early in the third quarter after trailing 41-37 at halftime, were outscored 24-13 in the final quarter as Lower Columbia controlled possession with a 17-9 and 11-5 margins in shot attempts and rebounds respectively.

The ball control by Lower Columbia stymied Bellevue scoring ace Sav Huerta who was only able to get off four shots in the fourth quarter.

The ‘dogs will now play their third game in three days tomorrow as they take on Chemeketa at 10:00 a.m. The game is the finale of a four-region round-robin hosted by Peninsula College in which each team plays a team from a different region on each day over the weekend.
