The ‘dogs defense flipped things in the second quarter with three steals and tenacious rebounding to give BC control. Helena Van Ess and Bri Byrnes scored 11 of the team’s 17 points in the pivotal quarter.

Sav Huerta had 22 points and was a perfect 10-for-10 from the line to lead Bellevue. The Bulldogs are now 4-1 and take on Northwest University this Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at Courter Family Athletic Pavilion in a rare mid-season scrimmage (non-counting in standings).
