Third-year sophomore Bri Byrnes put together her second dominating performance in the 87-75 win at Everett. Following a highlight game against Whatcom two nights ago, Byrnes had 23 points, 10 rebounds, and seven steals.
After a dominating 24-9 first quarter lead, the ‘dogs cruised the rest of the way in one of their biggest offensive outings of the season. Sav Huerta had 23 points as well and had a team-high five assists and was nine-for-10 from the free throw line. Gwen Aasland had 12 boards and chipped in 15 points while Jadyn Mueller had nine rebounds and seven points.
Bellevue’s win vaults them into first place in the North Region at 3-1 (11-5 overall) as they rest up for their next game this Wednesday January 25 at home against Skagit Valley. Tipoff is set for 5:00 p.m.
