Tosi Leads Men’s Basketball Win At Shoreline

Bellevue College men’s basketball took home a win on the road in a back and forth game at Shoreline, winning 73-70.

The game was evenly played in nearly every aspect and had several lead changes as the teams went into the locker room at halftime tied at 32.

In the second half, the ‘dogs shot 52% over Shoreline’s 40% as Bishop Tosi was five-for-six from the field, three-of-four from the line, and had five rebounds in the half. The veteran’s efficiency helped keep the Bulldogs in position for the win late in the game.

Tosi made a key three-pointer to tie the game 59-59 with 6:08 remaining, then had a key blocked shot with 3:22 left and Shoreline leading 62-61. The momentum shifted at that point as BC took the lead and stretched it out to seven points with 23 seconds remaining to seize control of the game.

Tosi’s 18 points and eight rebounds were supported by the 20 points of Prophet Johnson. Owen Moriarty chipped in 12 points and had a team-high five assists.

The win keeps Bellevue in the tight race in the deepest region of the NWAC with a 3-3 record in North Region play (13-7 overall). Bellevue hosts Olympic this Wed. Feb. 1 at 7 p.m.
