Softball Takes Two Over Pierce

Bellevue College softball had little trouble taking two games by scores of 11-0 and 12-1 over visiting Pierce. In the opener, sophomore pitcher Kaci Imus tossed a one-hitter in the circle fanning eight while walking zero batters. Morgan Shults had three hits while Kelci Studioso and Morgan Sunchild each homered. BC scored in every inning but the big blow was the seven-run third in which both homers occurred along with RBI hits by Taylor Wong and Kelsey Harris.

In game two the ‘dogs again scored every inning but took advantage of five walks in four innings by Pierce pitching as Shults threw a shutout in the circle. Katie Fodge slugged two home runs and had four RBI’s in the nightcap.

The Bulldogs have won four in a row and are 7-2 overall (2-0 in region play). They travel to Olympic this Saturday March 18 for noon doubleheader.
