Men’s Golf Take SW Oregon Invite Over Four-Year Fraser Valley

Bellevue College men’s golf got their game into top-notch form for next week’s NWAC Championships with an impressive win over NWAC schools and University of Fraser Valley, a four-year university golf program at the SW Oregon Invite held at Bandon Dunes GC. The Bulldogs made up 10 strokes after being eight down after day one for the two-stroke victory.

Collectively, BC shot -2 today and were on fire at the Sheep Ranch course at Bandon Dunes; the newest layout at the world-famous resort. Dalton Dean and Tyler Spalti were -3 and -2 respectively as Dean finished second overall in the individual standings. Jaeger Christian finished tied for seventh with rounds of 74-72. Ryan Knox closed out Bellevue’s scoring with 77-75.

Dean was on fire birdieing five holes on the back nine for a four-under 34 in the highlight round of the day.

Bellevue hopes to take that momentum into next week’s NWAC Championships which will be held Sun-Mon May 21-22 at Apple Tree GC in Yakima. The ‘dogs are looking to avenge a loss in last year’s championship to annual rival North Idaho College.
