Bulldogs Volleyball Win Four in Eastern Washington Swing

Bellevue College volleyball went 4-1 this week on their trip through Eastern Washington, playing several of the top NWAC teams in a continuation of Head Coach Jocelyn Lawrence’s annually challenging schedule.

On August 29, Bellevue defeated Spokane 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-19) before falling to North Idaho 3-1 by scores of 10-25, 26-24, 15-25, 16-25. Tommi Gallucci had 18 digs to lead BC’s defense efforts in the dominating win over Spokane. In the North Idaho’s offense was too much as the Cardinals outhit BC 52-33. Freshman sensation Olivia Deckard led the Bulldogs with 14 kills and 15 digs.

On August 30, BC topped host Blue Mountain 3-1 (25-13, 25-23, 14-25, 25-22) as Lauren Wittmers paced the offense shelling out 22 assists.

On the final leg of the road trip, Bellevue swept Walla Walla 3-0 before coming back to defeat host Columbia Basin 3-2.

Bellevue continues their non-league ventures down south with two matches on Wed. Sept. 6 at Lower Columbia College. The ‘dogs will take on Pierce College before the host school.
