Volleyball Cruises Over Shoreline

Bellevue College volleyball won with ease over visiting Shoreline, sweeping the Dolphins in three by scores of 25-18, 25-12, 25-11. Bellevue hit a whopping .556 in set three with 10 kills on zero errors in the dominating performance.
The balanced attack was led by Jessi Mahler who had seven kills and four service aces. Setters Lauren Wittmers and Mandi Nottingham had three aces as well and dished out 13 and 12 assists respectively. BC had fifteen aces with only five service errors in a night where Shoreline’s serve receive difficulties limited their offense any opportunity to stay in system to establish any substantial runs.

The 1:09 match was one of the quickest all season as BC rolls to 7-1 / 22-4. The Bulldogs took sole possession of first place as Edmonds, who was tied with Bellevue heading into the night, fell to Skagit Valley in Mount Vernon. Bellevue hosts Olympic this Friday Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. The Bellevue College Foundation will be hosting a free barbecue for the fans at 5 p.m.
