Bellevue College volleyball sent off their four sophomores with an easy win by topping visiting Whatcom in three, 25-22, 25-17, 25-9. The Bulldogs swung at a .270 clip for the night committing only 12 errors.
Bellevue was in control the entire way and were led by Jessi Mahler who had nine kills while Emma Heywood had eight kills on no errors. Tommi Gallucci, one of four sophomores playing her final regular season home match, had six aces and 11 digs.
Before the match, Head Coach Jocelyn Lawrence gave thanks to Gallucci, Lauren Wittmers, Jeanice Gamez, and Peytin Thompson and their families as the four sophomores have all been pivotal players in BC’s consecutive North Region titles during their tenure at Bellevue.
Bellevue closes out the regular season with an 11-1 league record, 26-4 overall record, and an 11-match win streak as they host next week’s opening regional playoffs on Saturday Nov. 11.
