Blauman Leads Women’s Basketball Past Trojans

Bellevue College women’s basketball poured in 30 points in the fourth quarter en route to a 71-70 come-from-behind win at Everett. Down by six 47-41 entering the final quarter, Kristina Blauman led BC back with key three pointers and free throws as BC tied the Trojans at 65 on a Blauman free throw. Alicia Morrison and Adior Juang made buckets on the next two positions and all of a sudden BC found themselves up by four with 12 seconds to play. A three-pointer by Everett brought the Trojans to within one at 69-68 but after a quick intentional foul with eight seconds remaining, BC’s Morrison drained both to seal the thrilling win.

The ‘dogs shot 58% in their big final quarter on 11-for-19 shooting. They also capitalized at the line on six-for-eight shooting. Blauman led the way not only in the fourth, but for the night overall with 26 points and eight rebounds and three steals. All were team-highs which included a five-for-10 mark from three-point range.

Bellevue has won their last three and are 6-3 in league (10-14 overall). They host undefeated Peninsula this Wed. Feb. 14 at 5 p.m.
