Baseball Swept By Edmonds

Bellevue College baseball was swept by host Edmonds by identical scores of 6-1. Not only were the scores identical, but the game flow followed similar patterns as BC starting pitchers Micah Hagler and R’Mani Adams spotted Edmonds early leads before the sharp bullpen performance kept the ‘dogs in it for the rest of the games.

Unfortunately, Bellevue’s offense was silenced in both games without ever threatening in either affair. Bellevue had six hits in the first game and only three in the nightcap.

Drew De La Cruz had two hits including a double in the opener as Chase Archibald went three plus innings while surrendering only one hit and no walks with four strikeouts in his second stellar outing in a row. Gibby Marshall-Inman went four and two-thirds innings in long relief without surrendering a run.

Bellevue falls to a 2-4 / 9-16-1 record as they play four games at home this weekend with Skagit Valley on Sat. Apr. 6 and Douglas in an exhibition twinbill on Sun. Apr. 7. Both doubleheaders are set for a 1 p.m. first pitch.
