Women’s Golf Finishes Runner Up at NWAC Championships

Bellevue College women’s golf fell just short of defending their NWAC title as the Bulldogs finished second to North Idaho at the NWAC Golf Championships, held at Apple Tree Golf Course in Yakima, WA. The Bulldogs finished thirty strokes behind the Cardinals, shooting +99.

Bellevue was 15 strokes behind after day one but could not make up any ground on day two. On Sunday, Kelly Oo led BC with an 84 while Mayah Park carded an 87, highlighted by two birdies, on holes three and 16. Park managed an 88 on day two while Kate Sabarillo bounced back from day one to shoot 88 as well.

Individually, Park finished tied for 12th overall at +31 along with teammate Oo. Sabarillo’s hot day two round placed her 17th overall.
