Bellevue Wins In Four

Bellevue College volleyball ran their record to 12-2 with a 3-1 win at Tacoma, by scores of 25-10, 25-14, 21-25, 25-20. With the exception of the rough third set loss, BC dominated offensively swinging at a .350 mark, committing only four errors in sets one and two combined.

After TCC claimed set three, Bellevue regained their form by jumping up 5-1, thanks to four early errors by Tacoma. An ace by Jessi Mahler put Bellevue up 12-4 in what seemed to be a lock for an easy win in set four before TCC rallied back with a 17-9 run. Down 21-18, the Titans were in position for a comeback before three more errors by Tacoma gave BC the win.

Mahler led the ‘dogs with 14 kills and 17 digs while Lexi Echols had 14 kills as well. Freshman setter Kawehi Sarona had 27 assists while Maycee Ward had 20 digs.

Bellevue travels to Mount Hood for the NWAC Crossover Tourney this Fri-Sat. Sept. 13-14.
