Bellevue College men’s soccer rebounded from an early goal by visiting Shoreline to capture a 4-3 win in NWAC North Region play. Oddly, the only shot Shoreline got off in the opening minute of the first half resulting in a goal. From there it was all Bellevue as the ‘dogs tacked on three goals in the half with an aggressive attack up front, scoring twice in a two minute span at the 27 minute mark.
James Cairns scored on an assist by Jordan Stroud before Ethan Lu connected with Ignacio Brandan to make it 2-1 BC. Brandan, just before halftime, added his second goal to make it 3-1.
In the second half, Cairns was on the feeding end Eluar Gutierrez scored at 52:32 to make it a 4-1 Bellevue lead. With the game under control, Shoreline finally got back on the board with a goal at the 69:53 mark before a last second goal by the Dolphins ended the game at 4-3.
Bellevue is now 3-1 in league play and 4-2 overall. They host Everett this Sat. Sept. 28 at 2 p.m.
