Bellevue College women’s basketball came up just short in an even battle with visiting Olympic, losing 82-76 last night at Courter Family Athletic Pavilion. Down 40-31 after the first half, the Bulldogs rallied with 25 points in the third quarter to get to within one, but Olympic shot 50% in the fourth quarter, aided by the four-for-six three point shooting by Marina Spitzer who contributed over half of the Rangers’ 25 fourth quarter points to preserve the win for OC.

In the exciting fourth quarter, BC fell down by as many as nine points but fought back and got to within one at 77-76 on a three pointer by Aysha Peter with 1:40 left, but Spitzer threw in her fourth three ball with seconds remaining to prevent any further Bellevue comeback.

Peter led BC with 20 points on over 50% shooting while Ghadir Ramadan was a force down under once again with a team-high 15 rebounds while adding 18 points as well. Bellevue travels to Everett this Sat. Jan. 11 for a 2 p.m. tipoff against the Trojans.
