Skagit Valley Men’s Basketball Handles BC

Bellevue College men’s basketball fell 72-54 at Skagit Valley in NWAC North Region play. Bellevue got down early 23-9 midway through the first half. The 14 point deficit grew to 19 at 38-19 with 2:28 to go as the ‘dogs found themselves in a hole before intermission.

While playing relatively even with the Cardinals in the entire second half, the Bulldogs could not make any significant charges as Skagit Valley maintained a lead close to 20 points the rest of the way.

The Bulldogs had chances to make a game out of it with 22 chances from the free throw line as Skagit Valley hacked away to 21 fouls on the night, but BC couldn’t capitalize, making only 64% from the line. Isaiah White was the Bulldogs’ main threat from the free throw line making eight of 12 and led the team with 17 points.

Bellevue has the weekend off before traveling to Bremerton next Wed. Feb. 5 for a 5 p.m. game at Olympic.
