Two Women’s Soccer Player Alums Transfer to DI

Bellevue College women’s soccer recently had two players from their 2023 squad move on to NCAA division I programs via the NCAA transfer portal. Tannah Huffines and Kaylee Acree, both starters for Bellevue Head Coach Richard Romain-Dika, will play at Southern Utah next fall.

Huffines, from Bonney Lake HS, is transferring in from Northwestern Oklahoma State University, an NCAA division II school. The defender started 17 of 18 games this year.

Acree, who was a one and done player here at BC, played her freshman year here before playing this past fall at Sonoma State University in California, an NCAA division II school which recently made national headlines for announcing they will be dropping their entire athletic program effective next fall. The forward from Puyallup was a teammate at Sonoma State with former BC goalkeeper Lily Johnston.

Southern Utah Head Coach Kai Edwards said “ We are excited to have two former Bellevue College student-athletes here at SUU. As a former coach at Western Washington I know how good the players are at the community college level in the NWAC and Richard (Romain-Dika) has done a great job developing and promoting these two former Student- Athletes “
