Bellevue College men’s basketball placed four on the NWAC North Region teams, as voted by the North Region coaches. Darek Usitalo, Sawyer Cottrell, and Isaiah White all earned Second Team All-Region honors while Max Mayo was named to the All-Defensive Team. All four are freshmen who were key contributors this season.
Usitalo made 57% of his shots and was one of Bellevue’s top all around players and was among the team leaders in nearly every.
Cottrell was one of Bellevue’s explosive scorer’s from the perimeter and had several big games in which he carried the offensive load including his 26-point effort in the Feb. 10 win over Olympic.
White started 28 of 29 games and averaged 14 points per game and had 80 assists this season.
Mayo made 35% of his three point attempts and dished out 66 assists on the season. The red-hot shooter was also efficient from the free throw line sinking 51 of 55 for 93%.
