
Bellevue College men’s golf won the NWAC League Match hosted by Skagit Valley College, shooting a two-day total of +23. The Bulldogs bested the runner up, Columbia Basin, by eight strokes. After leading day one by six strokes, BC was able to keep the Hawks at a distance even though Columbia Basin made a run, shooting five strokes lower than on day one.
Saum Sabetian took home medalist honors (one over for the tourney) after firing a one-under par 71 today; the lowest round in the field on day two. Sabetian started his round with a birdie. With four holes to play, Sabetian was three shots behind teammate Kai Lambro then eagled the par four14th hole. His late surge catapulted him over Lambro for the individual honors.


Lambro started the day tied for first and quickly got off to a three-under with a card opening with birdie, bogey, eagle, birdie and finished second overall at two over par for the tourney, one stroke behind Sabetian.
Isaac Elaimy carded rounds of 74-73 to finish fourth overall. Milo Stover shot 80-81 to finish tied for 20th to round out Bellevue’s team scoring.

With the win, Bellevue moved up to second in the conference standings behind Columbia Basin. They head back to the course for another league tourney Apr. 27-28 at Riverside GC in Chehalis.
